I am delighted to have IPL return to our royal state of Rajasthan. I will be attending my first IPL game in Jaipur after eight years, and I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am that the buzz is back at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium.

I believe negativity is the enemy of creativity. Of Enthusiasm. We must end all negativity and replace it with an outlook that is constructive and beneficial for the future generations. Within this association, together we now can plan to stay committed to the growth of cricket.

Vision is inclusive. It should be. And to this end, we plan an entirely new cricketing infrastructure in the form of grounds, training academies and coaching support system.

Once we are united in backing Rajasthan cricket, all our differences become irrelevant.

My father, Shri. Lalit Kumar Modi had a vision. The grand Sawai Mansingh Stadium, the RCA Academy which was ahead of its time and indeed the ongoing IPL – which is in its 11th successful year – is a testament to his dream. His vision. His vision to create a brand that embodies modern India, a brand that stands for ambition, achievement and excitement. A brand that reflects all the colours of this vibrant country.

I believe in being the best at whatever I do and I want nothing else but the best for Rajasthan Cricket. I will carry forward his legacy in a way that will indeed make him and every single Rajasthani proud.

Shri Lalit Kumar Modi believed in investing at the foundation, the grassroots. I am here to do something similar.

The key focus of this plan is to encourage more participation on a bigger scale within the community and thereby facilitate the pathway up to the elite levels of performance. The other key objective is to improving facilities, creating opportunities and building communities throughout the state of Rajasthan.

No amount of coaching or coaches matters if any sports institution lacks infrastructure. We’ve seen how after the infrastructure at the SMS stadium was built that Rajasthan went on to win the Ranji titles back to back titles.(2010/11 and 2011/12 seasons)

And as part of the initiative today I am happy to announce the launch of the Lalit Kumar Modi Centres of Excellence across five districts: Alwar, Dholpur, Ganganagar, Sawai Madhopur and Pratapgarh.

The five centres of excellence will provide an ecosystem for the game and a pathway for talent to flourish. My father has been the greatest inspiration since my infancy. His mentorship has helped me develop the essential skills to accept challenges and view them as opportunities. The ‘Lalit Kumar Modi Centre of Excellence’ is a part of my dream for the betterment of cricket and players in Rajasthan.

The target age group for these centres will be divided into two categories: 7-10 and 11-16. These boys and GIRLS will be scouted from across these regions and even the rest of the state. They will all be brought under one roof at these Centres of Excellence.

An essential aspect of this initiative will be tying up with schools, providing a programme and following up with the progress of those programmes.

More importantly, the focus of the CoE will be to make the sport a moment of joy for the kids. At their age playing sport should be a part of their everyday life. We hope with this we can provide a fitter next generation for not just the state but also our country.

This is very much an extension of the dream of our beloved Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modiji too.

As we progress along, we will be unveiling a few more details about these CoEs.

They will be like the RCA Academy — absolutely world class.

We will be assembling some of the best coaches/consultants in every discipline and provide adequate opportunities for the trainees to improve their skills further.

A mix of technology, skill development and academic support will form the basis of the CoE.

Needless to say, this will be the first of many such initiatives across the state that will aim to carry forward the legacy of our dynamic former RCA president Shri Lalit Kumar Modi.

The strength of any sports body is in its ability to identify talent and ensure it is nurtured in the right manner. Keeping that in mind we will create a scouting panel to search for talent, evaluate it and then ensure our Level A coaches work with them and follow their progress. Together let’s pledge to make Rajasthan the most dominant cricketing state in the country.

If this vision is to be realized, if Rajasthan cricket is to grow we will need your support and participation.
